The wedding team is there days before your event making sure that the yard is trimmed, the grounds are immaculate, and the venues are properly prepped.
Before the event happens, we are doing our jobs behind the scenes. From getting the ceremony area and barn ready, to stocking the bridal suite with all your favorite goodies, we are here for you, your bridal party, and your guests.
The bridal suite is prepped for you and your family. But not just that one room – you get an entire house. Spread out and relax. It’s going to be a long day and you don’t need to be crammed in one spot with 7 members of the bridal party, hair and makeup teams, photographers, etc.
Have snack breaks in the commons area. Get ready upstairs. Go down to the kitchen and have coffee and breakfast. Once you’re all ready and waiting to be called upon for pictures, relax in any area of the house – the Emerald room, the Ruby room, the library area or the living room. The choices are endless.
And don’t forget about the butler’s pantry with the hand painted murals on the wall.
Every room in the house has been set up specifically to be used for a photo shoot. That has been done on purpose to maximize the amazing photos you can take on property. Trust me when I tell you there is no limit to what your photographer can do on this property.
The grounds of Pole Barn Chic are amazing and offer gorgeous backgrounds! Are you wanting more of a country or rustic look? Head outside and choose from nature’s beautiful backdrops!
Take pics with corn and bean fields, the historic farm barn, the beautiful pond area, the rock walls or you can even use the historic structural pieces we have on property.
The flagpole, the dinner bell and the bottom of the bridge that sits next to our parking lot all came from the 1932 Chicago’s World Fair.
We even have the article in Time Magazine when they were featured!
The Groom’s Garage is another area to hang out. It’s not a regular “garage”. No cars will be found in here. We have extended the flooring from the house into the garage; the same bar & TVs from the pole barn have been installed and the ambiance is just as amazing for anyone getting ready out there (usually the groom and groomsmen). Crank the music up and play the free games we have lining the wall. And don’t worry if your wedding is in the winter or the summer — both the barn and the garage have heat and AC to be used year round.
Guests get to experience something at your wedding they don’t get anywhere else – our ambiance. Pole Barn Chic offers an unmatched vibe that I challenge you to find anywhere else – specifically here in the Midwest. Normally, Midwest wedding venues are limited on uniqueness, while the PBC Venue embraces it!
Frequently, wedding venues offer water stations for guests and truthfully, that’s about it.
At the PBC Venue, we offer guest experience! From the moment they arrive at Pole Barn Chic they are smiled at, waived to and greeted! Hospitality is near and dear to my heart, welcoming everyone.
As the owner, I like to greet your guests. I offer them a drink. We happily shuttle your guests on a golf cart if parking is too far for them to walk. They walk into the pole barn and begin taking pictures. The bathroom doors open and I hear the gasps. We make sure the service is top notch. The event is yours; the experience is your guests. And we love to honor that!
